BEGINNERS CAKE DECORATING - 4 Week Course Tuesdays (10th, 17th, 24th April & 1st May 2012) 6.30pm to 8.30pm
The basics of cake decorating are essential and lay the foundation for a great cake. Even though you may have some baking experience baking a cake that will become a work of art or a wedding cake is something quite different.
This four week course is designed to take you through the baking process, as well as teach you the basic tricks of the trade that will take your baking to another level.
Students will be introduced to cake decorating tools that they may never have seen before and will have the opportunity to try them out and see if they like them.
Students will learn buttercream and piping techniques as well as making and perfecting buttercream flowers and other decorations.
All equipment and mediums provided throughout the course except for the final week when students will be required to bring a cake to decorate in class (full details will be given).
