| Born in Peckham, South East London, Louise moved with her family and was raised in Kent (London's sister county, the Garden of England). She was born into a creative family with her father owning a music business, her aunt a photographer, her mother and both her grandmothers being passionate about cooking and baking. Louise has fond childhood memories of being in the kitchen as a young help hand for her grandmothers from the North and South of England. Eager to learn, help and store all the information away Louise had no idea that this would later prove to be invaluable to her career in cake artistry! From an early age Louise pursued her interest in art, particularly oils, pastels and sculpting, winning many local awards and prizes. Louise attended Sandwich Tech. in Kent where she excelled in Art and Design gaining top marks so she continued on to art college gaining a distinction in her A Level and then went on to London's Camberwell College of Art and Design. She lived in London through her early 20's living and loving the fast paced life i brought and embracing the culture of the capital from it's many art galleries to museums and restaurants. Louise returned to Kent in her mid twenties where she met her love, Phil (pictured below). Louise continued to study drawing, painting and the culinary arts. When Louise and Phil had an opportunity to move to Canada in 2008 she began taking cake decorating classes with her sister in law where she discovered her love of cake decorating it being the perfect way of combining her artistic and culinary skills. Shortly after Louise joined Let Them Eat Cakes as a cake designer specializing in celebration cakes and now she is teaching cake decorating as well as working as a full time cake decorator. Finding it so satisfying, Louise loves to see the reaction of clients she works with and knows she's made the perfect cake when they react with tears of joy or hugs! Loving what she has become and what she has achieved, Louise cannot imagine doing anything else and counts her blessings in finding her path in life.
