About Wedding Cakes

Most brides start with "I've never done this before..." and of course we understand that choosing your wedding cake can be a daunting task.  We are here to help and you will find our staff friendly and helpful after all, our priority is providing you with the perfect cake.

There are two ways of familiarizing yourself with our cakes:
  • Cake Tasting Event
  • Private Consultation

We recommend that your first introduction to us happens at a cake tasting, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere you can wander around the tables of dummy (fake) cakes) to see some of our work close up and you can also taste some of our cake flavours.  You may of course choose flavours to sample by using the form provided.  You may bring guests to a cake tasting, consultations are for two people.  You may come to as many cake tasting events as you wish.

When you are ready for your private consultation (complimentary for two people) you will need to have with you your colour swatches, picture of your dress, copy of your invitation, list of your wedding flowers, a favour, your topper (if you have already purchased one) and any other design elements you have that you would like us to include in your cake design.   Before booking your consultation you should have completed the following steps:
  1. Booked your date
  2. Booked your banquet hall
  3. Know your colour scheme
  4. Chosen your bridesmaids dresses
  5. Chosen your flowers
  6. OR have a picture of a cake that you absolutely 'must have' and know exactly what you want

Colour swatches are always necessary unless you are having an all white cake.  We will discuss your cake ideas, sketch some designs and finally present you with a complete, written quotation whilst you are enjoying some cake samples.

  • Only a 50% deposit will secure your cake order
  • You may reserve your date until you can meet for a consultation with a $50 deposit
  • We are able to consult via e-mail and telephone if you are out of town
  • Final payments are due one month before the date of the wedding

We accept:
  • Bank Cheques
  • Personal Cheques (if one month from the date of delivery)
  • Interac Transfers (through your on line banking institution, please ask for details)
  • Cash Payment

Consultation Times

Monday to Thursday - 10.30am to 8pm

BY APPOINTMENT ONLY

Please complete a Request A Quotation Form and suggest a time to meet and we will confirm.

No Friday or weekend consultations are available as we are busy making and delivering cakes on those days.

We serve the Oakville, Burlington, Dundas, Ancaster, Hamilton, Stoney Creek areas.  We regret we are unable to ship cakes either nationally or internationally.  We do not make slab cakes or buttercream wedding cakes, all our cakes are fondant covered.

We do not use peanuts in our recipes however some flavourings (such as almond, cherry etc) contain nut traces and as such we cannot guarantee that our products are nut free.  If you are looking for special dietary cakes we can put you in touch with bakers who provide this service.
